System requirements
The Windows version of Turbo-BrainVoyager is fully compatible with 32 and 64-bit versions of Microsoft Winodws XP, Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows 7. The Mac version of Turbo-BrainVoyager is fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). The Linux version of Turbo-BrainVoyager is compatible with most 64 bit Linux distributions using a 2.6 kernel. We recommend a minimum of 2 GB of working memory.
Plugins
The installer comes with three plugins that are stored in the "TBVExtensions/Plugins_32/64" folder. Two plugins extent the export facilities of TBV that may be useful for e.g. neurofeedback studies while one plugin implements real-time ICA. You can use the plugins from the "Plugins" menu after installation. If you are interested to develop your own plugins, consult the User's Guide. You will also find the source code of two plugins in the "TBVExtensions" folder.
Setup and Documentation
To adjust the software to your own scanner environment, you need to make sure that the scanner is able to incrementally store functional data in image space volume-by-volume to disk and that the PC running Turbo-BrainVoyager has access to the stored data. You need also to specify parameters about the data (location, number of slices etc.) in a "TBV" file. Consult the User's Guide for further details. The User's Guide can be easily invoked by clicking the "Help | User's Guide" menu. Please read the release notes in the User's Guide to learn about new features, enhancements and bug fixes. If you have any questions about setup as well as suggestions or bug reports, please send an email to "support at BrainVoyager dot com".
Sample data
The CD installer on Windows installs two sample data sets ("FacesHouses", "Attention BCI") that can be used to learn about basic features of Turbo-BrainVoyager. The installers on this web site do not install any sample data sets. You can, however, download them below. While it is not important where you install them on your computer, it is recommended to put them in the "(My )Documents/TBVData" folder. After extracting the data sets, you will also find a PDF tutorial file guiding you through a set of exercises.

Licensing info
Note that BrainVoyager QX works only in combination with the HASP licensing system, i.e. you need either a HASP dongle for a single user license or a HASP floating network license. Please make sure that you use the latest HASP drivers to avoid licensing problems. It is possible to upgrade your license remotely (e.g. to enable the DTI tensor calculation feature), which requires the HASP "customer.exe" software. Click here to download this executable.
