BrainVoyager QX Program Update - Version 1.7.9

The files below can be used to update a full install of BrainVoyager QX 1.7.4 to the latest version - BrainVoyager QX 1.7.9. We recommend to perform this update via the web-based automatic update utility, which can be invoked by clicking "Check For Updates" in the "Help" menu of BrainVoyager QX. Then click the "Check For Program Updates" button in the update utility and follow the displayed instructions. In case of problems with the automatic update or if your computer has no internet access, you can use the files below to manually perform the update. The update files do not include plugins. To check whether you have the latest plugins installed, visit the BrainVoyager QX Plugins web page. It is also recommended to click the "Show Release Notes" item in the "Help" menu after the update in order to learn about the changes made for this update.

To download the update files for your operating system, click on the respective link below. Select a convenient place on your system, for example the Desktop, as the target location for the downloaded archive file. Close any running instance of BrainVoyager QX before proceeding. The update files reside in a zip file, which has to be extracted after the download has been completed. Use your favorite unzipping tool to extract the files. Note that most operating systems directly support the extraction of zip files. It is important that the files are extracted to your BrainVoyager QX folder. On an English version of Windows, this folder will be "C:\Program Files\BrainVoyager QX" in case of a default installation of BrainVoyager QX 1.7.4. On Mac OS X, BrainVoyager QX is installed in "/Applications/BrainVoyager QX" during installation. On Linux, the default folder is "/home/[user name ]/BrainVoyagerQX". Note that the extraction of the zip file must use folder names in order to install the files in the appropriate sub directories within the BrainVoyager QX folder. After extracting the files, you can launch BrainVoyager QX as before. It should report version 1.7.9 in the "License Information" dialog, which can be invoked by clicking "License Information..." in the "Help" menu.
